When you get an Epoxy Vegas floor you can rest assured our meticulous install procedures and attention to detail are our top priority. The small details are tremendously paramount in guaranteeing your floors last many years to come!
We start this process with our planetary diamond grinding system. This is extremely important to make sure the surface area is at the correct “profile” to accept a new coating.
During this procedure, we open the pores of the concrete to create the best adhesion possible for our epoxy products. Floor Prep is the key to the success.
During this stage of our process, no matter what defects your floor may have we take the time to properly address them. You name it, cracks, holes, or divots will be non-existent after we are done!
The most common causes of cracks are concrete flexure, thermal or drying shrinkage of the concrete. This simple task of sealing the defect is crucial to the structural integrity of your soon-to-be epoxy flooring.
While not always a necessary step in the process, we’re ready to remedy moisture issues at all times. Metallic Epoxy installs require this step for a successful glass-smooth finish. In Las Vegas, the Henderson area seems to be the most affected by moisture problems.
If moisture damage is detected in your concrete we have the fix. We use a unique product called Vapor Solve, a water-based epoxy material with deep penetration and adhesion to concrete. It has a superior performance to 100% solids materials over contaminated concrete. This product eliminates or greatly reduces concrete outgassing.
This is where the fun begins and your floors start to take on their new form!! First we lay down our Epoxy 550 which is a high solid material designed as a basecoat for color chip flooring. Once our basecoat is laid out we begin broadcasting your color choice of vinyl chips that embed themselves into the wet epoxy. This would conclude day one of your two day install.
This starts day number two of your installation. Due to the fact we throw enough vinyl flake to cover your floors entirely and then some, we have excess flake that needs to be cleaned up. We start this process by blowing all non-essential loose flakes to the back of the garage. Next, we use a scraper to remove flakes sticking up and create a seamless uniformity appearance. Lastly, we run an industrial-grade vacuum across the entirety of the floor to pick up any last flakes that may be loose.
Here at Epoxy Vegas, we like to take things one step further and use Slabseal35 as a build coat before applying your final topcoat. You may ask what’s the point of this build coat? Truthfully, at the end of the day, it greatly increases the quality of the overall job! Slabseal is a single component system that reacts with the vinyl flakes and makes them wilt, in return the flakes lay flat on the surface to create that glass smooth look we all desire.
If you have made it this far, you’re about to the best part!! This is where all the hard work becomes a stunning masterpiece. This is the last step in the process and could be argued the most important. Why you may ask? Because it’s the top layer on your new flooring exposed to all elements. That’s why here at Epoxy Vegas we use a topcoat built to combat anything you can throw at these floors! Our polyaspartic was designed as an extremely tough, durable, and extremely high gloss decorative topcoat, but it doesn’t end there. Our topcoat offers excellent abrasion and chemical resistance as well as being completely UV stable.
Sure we could end the job there, but what we enjoy the most at Epoxy Vegas is seeing each and every customer’s initial reaction to their newly epoxy outfitted garage. This is what drives our passion to keep delivering the best floors in Las Vegas. We love seeing our awesome customers thrilled with our work.
We will leave you with this, are you ready for an epic garage transFLOORmation? If so we are the team for you!!
